Ananda Marga is an international organisation that teaches yoga and meditation for personal development and runs a variety of social service projects globally. It was founded in 1955 by the late Prabhat Rainjin Sarkar (1921-1990). PR Sarkar developed a progressive utilisation theory (PROUT) which advocates the maximum utilisation and rational distribution of all resources and potentialities of the world.
